SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) Progress
In 2025, Al-Quds University continues to show remarkable leadership in integrating all dimensions of SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through a cross-cutting framework of teaching, research, healthcare, and community activities. With the university’s program in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, medical laboratory sciences, and public health, Al-Quds University continues to train a generation of health professionals who can tackle health issues at the local and global levels.
Al-Quds University continues to pioneer innovative research in healthcare and has proactive research of primary healthcare prevention, diagnostics, treatment, and health systems. Al-Quds University researchers are focusing on and participating in more and more translational and engaged community research aiming to develop health technologies, and comprehensive, evidence-based healthcare reform and systems in Palestine.
With a extensive and developed network of clinics and healthcare centers, the University extends affordable and comprehensive primary medical, dental, and mental health services to the community and surrounding areas. These centers and clinics are community health resources and provide students and faculty with hands-on learning opportunities to integrate theory with practice in healthcare.
Over the course of 2025, A-Quds University expanded its advocacy efforts on public health promotion and the preventive dimension of public health advocacy, with the focus on awareness and education campaigns on non-communicable diseases, maternal and child health, control of communicable diseases, mental health, and overall mental health. The initiatives advocated for improved health detection and treatment, empowered individuals and communities for health lifestyle changes, and health lifestyle changes.
With the advancement of the University’s health partnerships, the scope of the of joint research and collaboration on global exchange and regional health partnerships continue in the fields of research gap joint initiatives in global health and resilience developing partnerships with premier global and regional health and medical educational institutions, the University expands its contribution towards the improvement and resilience of global public health.

In underserved communities, Al-Quds University provides free medical services, community health screenings, and public outreach programs. Teaching Medicine and Health Sciences: The University offers a variety of degree programs in medicine and the health sciences including nursing, pharmacy, public health, and other health-related fields. Training future public health professionals is instrumental in resolving health issues and challenges and improving the public’s health.
Al-Quds University showcases innovative work in healthcare research in areas including disease prevention, diagnostics, treatment, and management of health systems. This work helps develop strong research in new areas of healthcare and emerging technologies, therapeutics, best practices, and innovations in healthcare that have the potential to save lives.
As part of its community service, Al-Quds University runs a network of clinics and health centers, providing and fulfilling the community’s basic healthcare needs such as primary health care and a range of other services including dental, mental health, and specialized care. These clinics and health centers are also vital research and training sites for the university’s health sciences students and faculty and help satisfy some health needs of the community.
The university’s community service also embraces health promotion and disease prevention to help lower the impact of chronic and infectious diseases. This includes interventions in public health, education, and health promoting activities at the community level that help encourage healthy living, control unhealthy behaviors, and help in the identification and treatment of diseases.

• Free medical services and psychological counseling for local community members.
• Free medical check-ups and health care for students, university employees, local community members and community members during medical educational events and workshops.
• University students donated more than 5,000 blood units to Palestinian hospitals.
