Progress towards SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities)
Al-Quds University continues pursuing SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities. The University’s mission values integrating teaching and research, advocacy and outreach, and advocacy and service to the community. The University’s initiatives aim to ensure equity and inclusion, particularly empowering the marginalized and disadvantaged individuals and groups in the academic and social domains.
Education and Access to Opportunities
Al-Quds University’s mission pledges to equality in educational attainment, and university policies aim at equality of educational access no matter how disadvantaged and marginalized socio-economically, ethnically and culturally, or a spectrum of gender. By providing service scholarships and targeted outreach and aid, the educational attainment of learners from those targeted communities and the communities of service, and aid, university policies afford marginal and vulnerable communities the opportunity for higher education to realize social inclusion and social mobility.
Research on Inequality and Social Justice
Research on equity and social justice and inclusive development, modules taught and supervised by some faculty members in some of the University’s centers, cover a healthy spectrum of analyses on inequalities, disparate outcomes, discriminations of social mobility and equity, gender, and public policies. Evidence and analyses, even without a policy reach, help the Palestinian and the area social equity and social economic justice inequities.

Calls for reducing inequalities in income and those framed by age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion, or economic and other status within a country, and for ensuring that no one is left behind. The Goal also embraces inequalities worldwide, including those concerning representation, migration, and development assistance. Goal 10 further seeks to guarantee equal opportunity and reduce inequalities of outcome, including through the removal of discriminatory laws, policies, and practices and the enactment of equitable legislation, policies, and actions concerning the matter.
